MDF

The MDF panels (Medium Density Fiberboard) are wood based panels. In particular they are composed of wood fibers and glue and resins with low formaldehyde content. Panels are divided in three categories according to the density of fibers. The LDF panels have a low density, the MDF panels have a medium density, the HDF panels have a high density. The wood fibers used to produce fiberboards can be virgin wood or recycled wood. Fiberboards can be certified FSC® and PEFC™. The MDF panels are customizable through lacquering. Furthermore the dimensional stability, the homogeneous composition, uniform color, the smooth surface and the absence of veins make fiberboards an easy to work woodworking material. For these reasons the MDF panels are often used in making interior furnishings. Lastly fiberboards are fully recyclable.
