Chipboard panels are made of wood particles (mainly fir and poplar) and resins with low formaldehyde content. The glues used to hot press the panels may contain additives to improve their hydrophobic and fire-retardant properties.
The wood used to make the chipboard panels can be virgin wood or recycled wood, which can be ennobled to improve its physical-chemical properties; a process that makes them versatile materials for carpentry. Furthermore, chipboard panels are economical products, which can also have FSC® certificates.
